Vision:

The Minnesota Junior Chamber or "Jaycees" envisions a pathway of personal  development for young people who emerge as leaders while improving their communities.

Mission:

The Mission of the Minnesota Junior Chamber is to provide the opportunity for young individuals to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.

The Minnesota Junior Chamber (Jaycees) was formed in 1933 to meet the growing demand for leadership through civic involvement by young individuals. Over the years, the Minnesota Junior Chamber (Jaycees) has raised millions of dollars for local charities and continues to provide the local community with an influx of leaders and visionaries.

We continue that proud tradition with an active network of young people and civic involvement.

The Junior Chamber is an organization of active young people learning leadership skills while improving their communities. This is accomplished through constructive action in projects of community service and leadership training courses. The first organized chapter of the Minnesota Junior Chamber (Jaycees) was started in 1929.

 The Junior Chamber (Jaycees) is:

  • An organization for young people (ages 18-40) of any race, religion, or gender.

  • A stimulus for community growth and development.

  • The fastest growing young people’s organization in the world.

  • A stimulus to community spirit.

  • A group that will readily accept the challenge of different community projects.

  • An international organization present in over 100 different countries in the free world. Learn more - Visit Junior Chamber International(JCI).

  • Recognized by government, nonprofit, and business leaders at every level as an organization which develops new community leaders, through constructive action.

The Junior Chamber (Jaycees) is NOT:

  • The Chamber of Commerce (although we often work together).

  • A political organization (although many members, as individuals, become active in their chosen political parties).

  • A religious organization (although we do believe spirituality may be an important part of any young leader's development and we welcome all religious affiliations).

  • Restricted as to the type of projects, or required to conduct specific projects.
